It’s funny
how we live in this virtual world,
how we connect with people,
how we make great friends,
how we chat as if we’re the best friends,
how we share the good and the bad,
how we never need to care about looking good in front of each other,
how we can actually get away with funny expressions on our face,
how we blabber about anything and everything in our blogs
how we wait for our fellow bloggers to comment,
how we’re always so excited about telling our daily stuff to each other,
how we form a network and feel great about being a part of it!

yes I agree with you. I am still surprised how great I get on with so many people, who actually come from totally different worlds. It happened also that I have met with some of them and I was amazed again that there is almost no difference between "virtual" and "real" 🙂

Out blogging around. Interesting site. Loved your take on blog land in your poem. It’s so true. You feel like great friends with the people who hit your site often and whose sites your frequent, yet they don’t REALLY know you right? It’s weird, but somehow it feels like a safe risk. One I’m glad to be taking.

You are right here, the wonderful thing about connecting in the virtual world Peer-To-Peer (P2P) is we are free to be who we want to be, no dress code, no rules. We just have to stay clear of the fakes, the pretenders and the mind game players.
It has changed our world and how we relate to people.
The downside, is the risk of developing a retreating personality – fear of meeting people eyeball-to-eyeball (E2E).
We need to balance.

In the Land of Blog, we are more honest about ourselves than what we could be with others. Some people have problems and can only form friendships through the Blog. We are more trusting of others. It is a good thing for there will come a time when nothing a person says is safe – not even in Blogland. Blogland is the last great bastion of maintaining freedoms and goodness – for most people, there are a few exceptions but they are ignored by the good people. we have a better learning network than anything else in the world, a better understanding of other cultures. What a blessing. A beautiful virtual world with beautiful REAL people. I love your poem it is so true.
When you get into your new position the angst will go away. Preanticipation causes the jitters.

It’s so funny that people who have never met, seen each other, and perhaps never will, turn out to be such great friends. Maybe this is what is known as mental compatibility: it’s more important than the physical form of a person. I am sorry I couldn’t view your wonderful photos, as my problem with Spaces continues. Till now they have not been able to help me out. Instead, they are advising me to download IE 7. How then, was I managing perfectly well before this? Aye, my hope is before we destroy each other at the behest of greedy monarchies by whatever name they call their governing capabilities that we will all realize that most people just want to live a life free from pain and suffering.
It is imperative that our governments create hate and fear to pay for our investment war machines ~sighs~.
Let us pray to our individual Gods that man gets wisdom and no longer let’s this farce go on.
